Behind every song, painting, sculpture, or craft, there’s an artist; a
creative with a story that tells the journey to that particular art. Today,
we’re going to sit down with up-and-coming R&B artist, Ro’Nae, and get
to know her a little bit more. Here’s a peek into our interview below. To

Hello all, I’m Ro’Nae, a Seattle artist. I do R&B and I guess a little bit
of a pop mix. I like to dance too. I have two singles out right now, “YES
I DID
” and “THE MOMENT”. You can find these everywhere. They’re
on every single platform that there is right now including Apple Music,
iTunes, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon, and more. I wrote “YES I DID” as a
reassurance affirmation. I can say these things and I can be my best
self and not just be overly compromising to other people. I’m speaking
up for myself. I said that! I did it! And I’m okay with that. So it’s more of
an affirmation song. “THE MOMENT” is all about life, seriously being in the moment and taking the time that you have to be as great as you can.

I’ve always wanted to sing and dance. When I was a kid, I would perform at weddings and talent shows. It was more just expression at the time, just being a kid. As I got older and started experiencing life I wanted to start
writing and I was like…. I should do something with this and record it and you know, go to the studio. I have a friend who did music and we just started linking up, writing, and creating together. I started doing it for real and really focusing on realizing how much of a passion it still was for me after all this time. Right now I’m interested in collaborating with TNT, he’s a local artist that I have chemistry with, as well as Denise Racque, who l knew
from my childhood. We’re definitely going to work together!

I’ve been married for 13 years now and find inspiration in my marriage and in being a mother. It pushes me because time is of the essence. It doesn’t matter where you are in life, you can still do your passion. I honestly just love music, I’m a music-head who listens to music every day, as much as I can and I get inspired by it; and so at the end of the day, I guess I want other people to feel that. For me, I believe in positivity, and that music can make you feel better. True, it can also make you mad, it makes you feel every emotion. I want to be able to give that to other people. Next year look out for my EP and album!
